Allie received her 200hr Yoga Teacher Certification through YogaWorks in NYC. She is a founding team member of Exubrancy, a corporate wellness company which provides companies all over the world with yoga, fitness, and meditation programs. She recently moved to California from NYC in pursuit of waves and sunshine, and has continued to teach yoga while expanding Exubrancy’s programs to the West Coast and abroad. Allie exudes positivity, joy, and lightheartedness. When asked about her passion for yoga, Allie responds “I love to witness student’s evolutions both internally and physically. I love being a part of their journey, encouraging and empowering them to reach new heights in their practice, and experience changes they didn’t realize were possible. And more than anything, I love the community yoga provides and the surreal way breathing together brings us a sense of peace.” She also shares of her past struggles with body image, severe anxiety, and several major sports-related injuries. Allie found yoga as the healing modality by which she could always get her mind and body back on track and feeling strong and healthy. Allie leads each practice from a space of connection and curiosity. What does this mean for her students? Checking in with them before class, she delivers practices tailored to their unique individual and group needs. Her vinyasa style links breath to movement, focusing on alignment and moment to moment awareness. Whether it’s to cultivate peace of mind, strengthen and tone, or simply burn the internal fires that make space for growth, Allie’s functional yoga classes are designed to serve students on and off the mat. Yoga has taken Allie all around the world, and led her to fall in love with Central America. Allie continues to spend time on the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica several times each year. It was there that she first learned to surf and found the integral connection between her yoga and surf practices that continues to inspire her teaching methods today.
